What this is for

A task is really several tasks wearing a single name, and that disguise is what makes it feel impossible.

When to use it

For anything with a vague, big-sounding name — 'sort the garage', 'do the project', 'fix my finances'.

What you leave with

A short ordered list of concrete sub-steps, with the first one flagged to do today.
